Bond University High Band has been organized for three years under the direction of Charles Paterson. For the last two years they have won first in the district contest. Orchestra The orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Charles Paterson, is one of the smallest organizations in the school, partly because so many classes are in session when orchestra practices. They have appeared several times on assembly pro- grams. Since only larger organizations are allowed to enter state contests, the orchestra has entered none. Members receive individual and small group instruc- tion from Mr. Paterson and his student teachers, Mr. Charles Stief, Mr. Parks, and Miss Kate Bunting. Alumni Association The Alumni Association was organized for the first time this year. Anna Mary Schroeder, class of '39, was elected first president of the new Association. This picture was taken at the Alumni Banquet, a feature of U. High's first Home- coming held last fall. Faculty members and U. High seniors were guests at the Alumni Banquet held at Hank's Cafe prior to the all-school party, climax of two days Homecoming activities. It was the active alumni that introduced plans to U. High's Student Council for an annual Homecoming. All former U. High School students are eligible for membership with a small entrance fee to cover social events. The Mummy Case--Page thirty-eight
