The Schooner English Club 'lihrougli the efforts of Miss liatharyn Osterhaus, an Honorary English Club was organized in the fall of 1923. To be an eligible member, a student must have an average of A or A minus in English. If a member falls below thos standard he is automatically dropped from the club. The purpose of this or- ganization is to stimulate a desire for better grades and a love for good literature among the students. Since the marriage of Miss Osterliaus to President S. Buchanan, the club has continued its work under a new supervisor, Miss Mabel Hodges. A literary program was presented by the members at each semi-monthly meeting. I Page Fifty-two
