The Schooner unior Class History It has been three years since we awkwardly ascended the steps of the old high school building. Nevertheless we were born through all the trials and gained some knowledge too: for to lead, guide and instruct our minds aright were nine of th: most competent teachers that could be obtained. The class was organized a week or two after school started and the following officers were elected: Thelma Jane Hughes. Presidentg Mary Virginia Maloy, Vice Presidentg and Jewell Collings, Secretary Treasurer. The only social event of the year was the Junior-Senior party, which was a great success. Thelma Jane Hughes was elected beauty queen of the Uni- versity High School from the Junior Class and John Richards was elected the most popular boy of the school from the Junior Class. The Junior Class has representatives in the Glee Club, Eng- lish Club, Orchestra Club. and the Schooner Staff. The Juniors also have two representatives in the National Honor Society. Thelma Jane Hughes and Jewell Collings. The class is now looking forward with anticipation to the time when they will be seniors and hope to accomplish more next year than they have in the past three years. The Junior-Senior reception in the VVomen's building was exceptionally presented on the night of June l, 1925. We hope that this event which was started with the Junior class of 1925 will become one of the traditions of University High School. Page Twmty-four
