The Schooner lmprovements Nothing can stand still. Everything must go forward or deteriorate. VVe feel that Uni- versity High has gone forward. VVe can see a decided improvement in our teachers from month to month. Then there has come to us a richer and more varied curriculum. VVe have music, glee clubs, orchestras and various other curricu- lar activities that care well for our leisure. A decided improvement is shown in the quality of projects chosen and the thoroughness with which they are executed. Earnest effort has been made by Dr. Collings to bring about an improvement in all skillsg to this end we have penmanship, mathematics, language, and art work to develop backward pupils in these arts. History and civics have taken on a functioning attitude and we now apply these problems in life instead of thinking about them as before. VV e believe decided progress has been shown in all lines, and feel sure that greater progress will be shown from year to year as long as Dr. Collings continues to direct our affairs. Page Six
