Without the former some may not have gotten through the latter. Throughout the four or even six years at U.H.S., our clos- est friends have provided shoulders to cry on, sympathetic ears, and helpful advice. When looking back on these years, it is cer- tain that these close friendships will form the fondest memories. When the pressure becomes too intense, call- ing a soulful talk with a friend helps release the tension. A close pal can help you put the world in perspective. It would be difficult to imagine the world or even University witho ut a friend to share the load. A laugh, a walk, or a talk with a buddy to share our inner feelings and emotions can bring a smile to your face and contentment to your heart. It can truly be said the one of the assets of high school are the precious moments with our friends.

EsEY ES OF ART To learn history through the eyes of art was the premise that helped formulate the Art Social Science intercurriculm course. The course is presented as a one year course to all freshmen students at Univer- sity High. It intergrates art and world civilization in the hope that students will be encouraged to learn history with artistic values. The basic goal of the course is to outline the history of human expe- rience and achievement. It also demonstrates that art is a direct form of communication capable of transcending differences in time and culture. Cafeteria manager, Mrs. Williams, suggested that U.H.S. organize a Youth Advi- sory Council. Y.A.C. is a nationwide organization that forms a bridge between students and the cafete- ria staff. The idea is to distribute questionnaires and opinion surveys to evaluate students’ feelings about the cafeteria, its staff, and the food that is served. So far so good!
