TAKE HUMAN BITES “Take Human Bites” Many of us have the tendency to bit off more than we can chew. Students tend to get involved in too many activities at once. You are setting yourself up for a “burn-out”, and denying yourself the opportunity to work up to your fullest potential. It is essential that you set your priorities in terms of short range goals as well as long range ones. Too many extra-curricular activities can put a strain on scholastics. Obsession with your studies can make you myopic in scope. A healthy balance be- tween activities and studies can assist you in your advancement toward maturity and adulthood. Moral: Don’t overdo it. Commit yourself to a reasonable amount of achievements and do your best. Joel biting off more than he can chew. EsEY ES OF ART To learn history through the eyes of art was the premise that helped formulate the Art Social Science intercurriculm course. The course is presented as a one year course to all freshmen students at Univer- sity High. It intergrates art and world civilization in the hope that students will be encouraged to learn history with artistic values. The basic goal of the course is to outline the history of human expe- rience and achievement. It also demonstrates that art is a direct form of communication capable of transcending differences in time and culture.
