CHEERLEADERS The 1985-86 Cheerleading Squad, coached by Ms. Joanne Rose, had a very successful season. Headed by Captain Angulia Smith and Co-Capt. Cassandra Daughety, the squad cheered the boys basketball team on to a l-7 record, bringing them to a 65% winning percentage. The highlights of the season included cheering for the Rutgers’ Raid- ers, along with cheerleaders from around the state; and per- forming for the NJ Nets’ pre- game show, along with the band, at the Meadowlands. The 1985-86 season was the best yet for the cheerleaders. We are all hoping for many more to come. 130 Below- the cheerleaders show off one of their amazing cheers. With the accelerating students that he has under his tutorship, they will soon be forced to be reckoned with.
