That's a nice word. What does it mean? Webster's Dictionary has freshman as meaning newcomers. Newcomers imply new people. New people bring new ideas. Not immature ideas, new ideas. A kind of freshness that can only come from a young mind. There are those who believe that freshmen are nobodies, and they have nothing to contribute. Flow wrong! We have as many things to contribute as our new, refreshing ideas. We have a multitude of other traits: intelligence, varied skills, the way we can bond together swiftly and efficiently in a time of crisis, to name a few. Helping us, instructing us, assisting us in our studies are our teachers: Mrs. Fabbrini, the talented music instructor; Mr. Green, the concerned Algebra I teacher; Mr. Hammerman, the demanding biology instructor; Mr. Lowenstein, the dedicated social science instructor; Mr. Sla-vinsky, the understanding English teacher and our very special language instructors. With the guidance from these people, it is not just a possibility, but a positiveness that we will show our 'colors' yet. 63
