In order to be well prepared for the future, the curriculum has to be very challenging and it is. As freshmen we were challenged with many responsibilites. We were exposed to Shakespeare, mythology and world history. We were given a solid foundation in Algebra and we began to master a language that was not our own. In our sophomore year, we continued to strive for the best and have better adjusted to the exacting standards of UHS. We will work harder this year so that we may reach our goal and fulfill the need to be individuals. We have learned many new algebraic concepts and techniques. We learned how to apply what we have mastered to solve problems. Our social science exposes us to English and American History. Our experiences in biochemistry include a review of the cell as well as cellular process, the study of atoms and elements, and the study of heredity and chemical reaction. In English we will read about Carpe Diem poets such as Herrick and Lovelace. We will also read Macbeth and The Crucible. As we end our sophomore year, we will cherish our many memories, but we must also look forward to the next two most crucial years of our lives.
