Mime The second annual U.H.S. Mime Troop, under the direction of Steve Ehrensperger, had its greatest year ever. These 12 members entertained at Homecoming, assemblies, and at the year end public performance, An Evening of Mime. I hope you ' ll remember the dreams we started out with, and the prog- ress we made towards making those dreams came true. Guitar The main goal of the University Guitar Ensem- ble is to provide rehearsal and performance condi- tions for the guitarist which parallel those offered to other instru- mentalists. They play a variety of works especially arranged or composed for them, as well as arrange- ments from other instru- mental ensembles. The ensemble performs widely. Last year at the Crossmont Guitar Festival they were recognized as the outstanding perform- ing group by internation- ally known composer, |ohn Duarte. The ensem- ble also made a full length studio recording. These achievements have led Uni ' s Guitar Department to be one of the top 5 pro- grams in the United States.
