f i Field Hockey The 1976 Girl's Field Hockey Team had a great season as usual compiling a 12-1-l record, finishing first in the South Coast League and qualifying for CIF Competition. The team played a strong game, and showed their skill and stamina throughout the season. Named to the All South Coast League First Team were Gina Wilkie, Sue Walker and Grace McCarley. Members of the South Coast League Second Team were Dawn Egan, Sylvia Sanchez, Vivian Wang and Claudia Gold. Special recognition goes to Gina Wilkie named Player of the Year for the South Coast League and to Sue Walker for mak- ing the Second All CIF Field Hockey Team. Fall 57

Though only in itls first year, the Girl's Cross Country Team made excellent progress throughout the season. The team was composed of fourteen very competitive squad members who registered some outstanding acheivementsf' comments Coach Christensen. Led by school record holder Denise Diener, the team began the season by winning a trophy at the Costa Mesa Invitational. They continued their hard work and determination and went on to a 6 win l loss season and second place in the South Coast League. They concluded the year by coming in third in the Orange County Meet and finishing 14th overall in C.I.F. Competition.
