The 1975-76 Troian Wrestling Team battled the toughest schedule in the school's history and at the same time, fielded its youngest team ever. Paced by only four seniors, Marc Bon- ner, Jon Hirshon, Vance Furakawa, and John Malenick, the young Trojans were mostly Juniors and Seniors. Although many forfeits given at certain weight classes made team victories nearly impossible, many wrestlers had fine win-loss records and several men won and placed in various tourna- ments. Juniors R. J. Schwichtengerg, Mark Moody, and Rick Niedermayer all posted excellent records. Sophomores Dan Schroeder and Mark Kishineff were excellent Varsity wrestlers. The Troion Varsity team placed 3rd in the South Coast League. Copy Courtesy of Coach Steve Hormuth First Row: Victor Jalapan, Mike Marchesano, Tony Calub, Calvin Agerton, Jon Hirshon, Vance Furakawa.
