The 1975 Cross Country season was a dream come true. University became only the 5th team in Orange County to ever win a CIF Championship. To add to ti's CIF Championship, the Varsity team was also the Orange County Champions and South Coast League Champs. The Junior Varsity and Sophomore teams followed suit. The ever-improving Freshman team scored a big upset win to make University champions of the South Coast in every division. Juniors Woody Glass and Byron Long were named to the All-Orange County team. But it was a team effort, first and foremost, that led the team to its fantastic string of victories. Overall, University had a 22-3 dual meet record and were winners in all larger meets. A big thank you and good-bye to the Seniors who will be missed, particu- larly all-leaguer, Captain, and the 1975 most inspirational runner, Mike Fero.
