U I -f ll ll Il IEII-I NUNC DIMITTISl-IDI ll Il I' ll IE! Most of U. High's games were played as a part of the newly formed Huron League, which is composed of teams from University High, Chelsea, Saline, Clin- ton, Milan, Dundee, Roosevelt,-and Lincoln Consolidated. Competition is carried on in basketball, baseball, and several other sports. 5 In basketball U. High won the first two games with comparative ease. However at Chelsea, the team seemed to have' lost its eye ,for the basket with the result that Chelsea won by a score 15 to 11. ., In the next game Milan won at thrilling game from Chelsea causing a double tie for first place in the league. This gave U. High a glorious chance to create o triple tie for first place. In a fast and exciting game with Milan on Milan's floor, U. High defeated Milan by a score 21 to 14. This game took place in the last week of February. As the District Tournament was to be held the first week in March, there was no time to have games for play- offs.-In the Tournament U. High drew Milan and it was decided that the winner should meet Chelsea for the title. U. High again established her superiority by de- feating Milan 22 to 11. As U. High was eliminated in the second round as was Chelsea, the game was scheduled for the following week and was played on. U. High's floor. The game was interesting and quite close although U. High took the lead and was never headed, winningby a score 21 to 14. Thus, through a stiff battle, U. High acquired the Huron League trophy. Pre-season predictions are not always dependable, but everything seems to point toward a good season for University High School next year. RECORD ' U H. S. .... 20-Wayne ......... 26 U H.
