Teams Top 0ff Junior Varsity and Sophomore B-Squad Basketball teams were termed Hvely successful by their respective coaches during the '79 season. B-Squad earned second place in league play with their 12 wins 4 loss record and Junior Varsity also placed 2nd with 14 and 6. Coach Bill Cliit emphasized season highlights as the two Central Valley defeats-one from trailing 18 points. Junior Varsity players were praised by Coach Bill Ames for, their tremendous attitude and willingness to work together. Girls Basketball: We Are the Champion Speed, hustle, and intensity were the trademarks of the Titans on the basketball floor this season. The girls knew they were the best and they sure proved it! Cheryl King, Kitty Byrne, Renee Bagwell, Jody Thomason, and Sarah Hawkins were the team's five veterans. They provided experience and leadership for the team. Coach Sam Janke knew he had the best team around and the girls sure lived up to their respected coach's expectations. Dedication, discipline, and the buming desire to be number one, carried them to the league Championship. On to State!!!
