The annual dance was held on February 24, from 8:30 to 11:30 p.m. in the Central Plaza Ballroom 1CafeteriaJ, Orpheus was the band that entertained the large group of sweethearts. The Sweetheart Royalty this year was Senior Cathy Clement and escort Chris Gaiser, Junior Lisa Sanders and escort Troy Whitten, and Sophomore Julie Bobbett and escort Carmen Espinoza. The senior class had more couples present at the dance, so Cathy was crowned Queen while Lisa and Julie were the Princesses. The dance was sponsored by the League of Kronos and Executive Board with it's advisors Mrs. Mary Gruber and Mrs. Lucy Jydstrup.
