2. 4 Ji, . ,CW IC Kermit Kilcup Gary Fields Practical, Fun, nd Demanding In the Fine Arts Department many new, exciting, and interesting changes took place this year. Changes included new band uniforms, a choir festival, a television studio, and a dramatic production. While speaking with Mrs. Billie Kenny, head ofthe Fine Arts Department, 'she said that generally the department was growing and improving. There were several new classes including beginning guitar and a class in mime. This year for the first time in about 15 years, our band got new uniforms. The members debuted for the students of our school, for the first time, during our Homecoming game. Also, this year the Titan band was invited to a Music Evaluators Convention, in which five other states partici- pated. This year, for the first time in our school's history. the drama students performed in a major production. The title of the play was One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Another change in the Drama Department was the addition of a pantomime class. In this course, the students learned to perform with motions, but without words. New in the Industrial Arts Department this year were the interesting articles made in the woodshop. Some of the more fascinating were waterbed headboards and elaborate furniture reproductions. Mr. Kilcup added that a new tig welding machine had been purchased. Above: Mark Rotchford creates an elaborate work of art. Chuck Pierce Emmett Gumm Bob Gehres 127
