Departments Bring About Change Several changes have altered the Business and Social Studies Departments' curricu- lum this year. The Social Studies Department includes a newcomer to the U-Hi staff: Mr. Howard Crosby. Mr Crosby teaches European History, Civics and a Study Hall. When asked how he liked the school he replied with much enthusiasm, I really enjoy teaching here. Another addition to the department is the European History Advanced Placement course. It is a class designed for the college bound senior. The course was only scheduled for one period since it was new. Department Head,.Iohn Traynor was over- whelmed by the applications. He hopes to have more advanced placement classes in the future. Business Department students celebrated the removal of the last manual typewriters and the arrival of new Selectric electric machines. In a couple of years manuals won't even be made anymore, said Mr. Roy Dyer, Business Department head. This points up the need to train students on the newer machines. :iw John Traynor Dept.
