Student Prepar e For College Mr. Driggs, Mr. N accarato, and Mrs. Lancaster have been preparing the present Seniors for college and post-graduation life ever since thie ninth grade year. They began with orientation meetings. Later in their Junior year, the counselors talked with the classes about entering college. They gave the Seniors pre-college tests, such as the W.P.C.T., the S.A.T., the A.C.T., and the P.S.A.T. Our counselors also helped to arrange numerous weekend college visits and hosted representatives from many of these schools. 1 1 ' kr , .5 M ' .H it ,gle an e- L L. 4... Some students work during their available time while others go through the magazine section. But all enjoy the company of their friends. Above: Trying to see a counselor can be very dif5cult sometimes--they are three of the busiest people in school. To get an appointment with your counselor, Mrs. Annette Lancaster, Mr. Darrell Driggs, or Mr. Richard Naccarato, you must follow several steps. Step 1: Schedule the appointment with the secretary, Mrs. Margie Lamm. Step 2: Get called down lpreferably out ofclass, not lunchll. Step 3: Rush down to the center, hopefully to be greeted with more than a closed door. Here students display the most common step-waiting! 119

. Wulff Join Staff: New to the University High School admini- stration is Mr. Kevin Wulif who joined the staff in September as Assistant Principal. According to Mr. Jim Stickney, Mr. Wulifhas been in the Central Valley School District for ten years. He was at Bowdish Junior High for live years as Assistant Principal and spent another tive years as Assistant Principal at Evergreen Junior College. This year there has been much better dressing and a much improved attitude at our school. This in turn has affected the teachers attitudes for the better, said Mr. Stickney. Keeping the future growth in population in mind, Mr. Stickney sees a decline in the coming seventh and eighth graders. They stopped making babies in those years, he added, but we still hope to have a new high school within live years. 'M'-if-so . ....,--f-. - ef i ,If-v.
