The Univees started the season under Coach Al Gallo with three returning lettermen. The team was again one of the tallest in the areag its starting Five averaged about 6 ft. 2 in. The team had a knack for losing the Close games, losing eight by four points or less. The Univees pulled a couple of minor upsets by beating Gosport and Solsberry. Tom Schuessler scored 40 points against Charleton for a new single game scoring mark, and Rusty Cleland scored 351 points for a new season scoring record. 5 In February the Student Council sponsored the annual locker clean drive. Spearheading the campaign were Ann Baker, Susie W'eiser, M -lolinson, and George Dunn, chairman. - u p ike The Student Council, as usual, had its H11 of projects and prob- lems such as the parking situation, a Christmas party and convo, and a dance. For the benefit of teenage driv- ers, the Metropolitan Youth Coun- cil has given a monthly award to the top teen driver. It attempted to promote a drag strip, but did not gain sufficient support to build one. The Policy Council is responsible for the new club program and a courtesy campaign.
