rojecfs op Qdgen as The Jazz Club grew so large this year it had to be split in two groups, one for the rock-and-rollers, the other for fanciers of cool, modern sounds. The Bridge Club, a new innovation at UHS, operated in three sections. The Tri-Hi-Y again sponsored Religious Emphasis Week and various service projects. The Junior Academy of Science investi- gated things scientific and heard guest lec- turers. The Projectors Club made good use of its skill by showing movies to U-School classes. The Bookstore served the needs of students for everything from paper clips to rare third- year language books. Steve W'eiser, one of the students who works in the book- store, waits on Dun Rothmuller, Karen Larson, Nancy Ir- win, and Susie Moss. The lunch period is over, and students mill about at the foot of the stairs, getting in a few bits of conversation before returning to classes. Miss Josephine Spear instructs members of the Bridge Club in totaling the points in their hands. john M.1h.m. Alice Turner, Suvy Duty, and Tom Hensley watch.
