Seventh and lfighth graders enjoy a game of cards at the annual junior High party. It's their first taste of the social side of education. Seventh graders Wfayne W'itmer and jimmy Cook are late to class .us they try to Uplfll illcir IICYV lllfkff. ig ears eacl Fresh out of elementary school, the new junior High student is faced with ll completely new curriculum. New lockers, class changes, and no recesses greet the new Seventh grader. After a few days he becomes used to the new arrangement and learns the new system. There are parties and dances on weekends, and newly- begun homework assignments fill week-nights. The junior High years seem to have passed quickly, and by the time he hnishes Eighth grade, he has been introduced to the social whirl and is ready for high school life. S

The Junior High Stuck Band, directed by Robert Hull, music instructor, played for the junior high party in the cafeteria. ocial :Life qakes ver After football and basketball games, students flocked to the cafeteria to one of a score of dances. Nearly every club, class, or organization presented a dance, making empty Friday nights rare. Graduates of U-School returned in the fall for Homecoming to see the Univees play Harry Wood of Indianapolis, and to Witness the crowning of Susie Baker as Homecoming Queen.
