2l'll0l .MZJOIV The class of I946 with eyes toward a promlsung future made up the fresh man class of l942 43 Although we were not offncnally organuzed we were working for our class We gave two box suppers to raise money for the class As sophomores we started what we hope wlll become a tradltlon of the school We organized as a class offncually We were not able to accomplish a great deal as we dnd not organlze until late nn the school year However we dad sponsor a dance and planned and arranged our next year s work as the gumor class Beang thus prepared for our task the gunuor class of l944 45 moved quuck ly to nts work Perhaps the flrst publuc notice of our efforts was a dance spon sored by the juniors Then we came forth wlth the Penny Carnnval The entire class worked together to produce one of the best Penny Carnuvals of all times As our last but by no means least effort of the year we presented the junior Prom Orrglnal Ideas and vlvld color marked thus prom as a real event at U H S When at last and yet so soon our sensor year arrlved we chose our offncers and lmmednately started all the many actlvltues a sensor class has Wlthm the fnrst months of school we had presented a new pep song to the school Thus song has been accepted by the students and we hope It wlll be the pep song for many years to come Senior dances found thelr way into U H S socnal actlvltles The sensor class presented thear play Best Foot Forward The cast uncluded a talented group and gave our class success We leave U H S a lnttle bnt older and a luttle but better we hope than lt was when we came Several marks of our presence wall be found stall a part of Unuverslty School after we leave We thunk the Ideas and tradutuons we have set forth' are good lt IS for those who follow to prove us wrong or rught We have put a great deal unto our school lufe but we carry away the greatest part of It wnth us The school the teachers and the students have gnven us much of our past our present and our dawning future I I - , . , , , . - . - , . . .
