NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Election to National Honor Society represents the highest single award made by University School. While students must be in the upper third of the senior class to qualify for election to the group, they must also show prom- ise in the fields of leadership, service, and character. All high school teachers in the University School have an opportunity to express an opinion on the worthiness of students for this honor, and final selections are made by a representative committee called the Faculty Council. ln naming members of the Society for 1945, the faculty not only commends these students on their four year record in high school but also challenges them to maintain in to- morrow's world the high standards they have set for themselves in the world they now leave.
