IHZ fll U77 0112 IOIIS IWIIWII In the future years a student of U l-I S may look back with pride upon the accomplishments of his high school organizations Memories of high school days for the most part are pleasant memories But perhaps the mem ories of the interesting things done in clubs are clearer and more lasting than any others The University School organizations are varied covering almost every smelling liquids in the laboratory future actors and actresses haunt th stage camera fiends learn to develop their own pictures athletes exert themselves to inspire the afve of the student body members of service clubs lend a hand to the community and news reporters dash through the halls with harried looks on their faces to give atmosphere to their work These activities give the student an excellent opportunity to mingle with his friends and develop his talents to the utmost With the advent of the war clubs swung full force into defense work The Defense Council was organized The Senior Girl Reserves have done their part toward furthering our school s war aims by knitting sweaters and afghans and making cookies for men in the service and early in the fall several home rooms cooperated in a city Nude scrap drive ln peace time or in war time students participating In these extra curricular activities are making memories memories of fun and memories of service 11111 rr 41' If . mr.
