The Merry Mixup tlance at the first of the vear was sponsoretl luv the social committee ol' the stuclent council as were several other tlances ancl game nights during the vear. ln the spring. the school carf nival was organized through the stutlent council antl was a huge success. ililie l7Lll3llClIy. assemlilv, social, ticlteis antl operations, aml noon hour activities committees are all organs ol' the stutlent council. John Akers, president, presided at all student council meetings. It was also his duty to take care of all routine student hody business and to represent our sehool whenf eyer necessary. t-Xl Klundle. as yicefpresident, was automatically chairf man ol' the assemhly committee. lle had to check and see that all ol' the assemhlies were held on the date scheduled lor them. lt was his .ioh to make sure chairs were set up lor assemblies, the stage was cleaned regularly, and that the auditorium was in order. Our secretary, .Xncy Vincent, took the minutes at stu- dent body and student council meetings. She carried on the student hody correspondence. Karen Iacohson. treasurer, had a tough job. that ol' keeping the school finances in order. She posted the monthly financial statement. Vlihenever organizations en' tered money into their account, she recorded it, and wrote out the checks when money was paid out.
