ssociated tudent Forming the nucleus of student body gov- ernment is the Student Council. lt consists of otticers and representatives ot the school's key organizations. Members ot the council are the student body president, vice-president, and secretary, the president and one representative from each class, and the Girls' League president. The Merry Mix-Up, first social event ot the year, was sponsored by the Student Council, as was the noon dancing program, later turned over to the Hi-Y. By drawing up a calendar tor the year's activities, the council materially lessened schedule con- tlicts. A committee ot council members did extensive Work on re-writing the consti- tution ct University High, a long neglected task. This year the Student Council leaves a small tund which in time will buy the school a new piano. They were able to do this through the cooperation with the University School oi Music.
