Track From a request by Ray Hendrickson, ath- letic director, sophomore turnout for the track season was exceptionally large, and added together with the juniors and seniors, there was a capable track team molded together. For the first time in the history of Univer- sity High, the Tider's track team was victori- ous in a two-way meet. ln the meet with Roseburg the Tiders totaled up 74 points to the loser's 46. First places were Won by Cullen Murphy in the 120 high hurdles, Del- ton Mann in the 220 low hurdles, George Bullion in the javelin, Don Campbell in the 880 and discus, Bob Deverell in the 440, Iim Petermann in the 220, Don Plath in the mile. and the relay team composed of Wycoff, Sargent, Bullion and Petermann were the winners in the 880 relay.
