The meetings, held twice weekly, are conducted by the students. At these meetings, round-table discussions are usually held, and the students act as the chairmen. This club is under the supervision of Dr. Harley Smith-our speech teacher. The people who have been directly in charge ol' these meetings were all student teachers. These were: Misses Craig and Goldstein during the first semesterg and Mr. Schonicker and Miss Verser the second semester. Ar'ti11itiffs.' Some of the topics discussed were: Religion and the need of itg The Southern Problem, Our South American Policy: The Future of Spain: Cen- tral Europeg The Family as a Social Unit: and The Tariff Problem. JOHNSON DoRTHY SMITH Pzzrpose: The Library Club was formed under the direction of Miss Ball to further interest in books and to show the students how a library should be Tllll. Activities: There has been one field trip which was to the L.S.U. Law Li- brary. The members were well pleased with the operations and convenience of the Law Library. During the year there were several reports given on books which might in- terest the fellow members. All reports were received warmly and created much interest in the meetings which were held every second and fourth YVednesday at one o'clock. The club has been definitely a success. Under the able direction Ol' Osee -Iones, one of our Alumni, a gas model airplane was constructed and proved to be quite successful. Several members worked on individual planes, which were exhibited at various meetings.
