The heolrh croze rhor swepr rhe norion by no means missed Athens! The near obsession wirh eating righr and exer- cising could be seen everywhere on campus. The Athens spos themselves provided o variety of forms of exercise, from bikes and v eights to aerobics and sv imming. No matter whether the goal wos to lose weight, build muscles, or to keep in shope and stay healthy, the spa became o great place to do it all and the students at the Unive ' ' certainly rook full advantage of it. Exerd provided rhem with a much-needed outlet for rhe pressures ossociored with college life, and it also provided a greot way to work off those late night pizzas. Aside from rhe desires and need to exercise, students found the Spo filled another need . . . o rype of social hangout. The Spa is evolving into the new bar of the 80 ' s, bur in a differ- ent environment with the emphosis on heolth insteod of drinking. Wherher o workour or o hangour; the spa is indeed one of the new places to go. ginning to realize the ercising benefits also.
