Not only is Mr Holbroojc our benefactor -- he is one of us, a member of the student body In 1945, upon retiring from his legal career in New York City, he enrolled at the age of seventy in the art department of the University of Georgia and has become a great favorite with his fellow students Concerning his decision to present his collection to the University of Georgia, Mr Holbrook said, The South, in my opinion, is headed for I trial expansion in the postwar era. THE 1947 PANDORA endeavors to keep in stride with the University as a whole in making this the biggest and best year of its history. As our theme indicates, we extend a hearty welcome home to those students who have been scattered to the four corners of the globe winning what we hope will be a lasting peace. With the great increase in enrollment, the rise in prices, and the lack of time and space, we have been surpressed in presenting all of the year ' s events we would have liked to . . . but it is our sincere hope that we have pleased each student and have edited a book that he will be oroud of.
