biochemistry Substantial strides in the world of science dominated the College of Arts and Sciences this year. Complicated machinery and special projects built by the students themselves provided the opportunity for extensive research into the workings of the environment around us. The Department of Chemistry strong leadership in this area with particular emphasis in the biochemical field. But, not confined to the fields of biology, astronomy, geology or geography, the College of Arts and Sciences offers study in all areas of human development and intellectual pursuit. Striving to provide the student with a well-rounded, liberal education, this college represents the core of all higher education.
