But three posts remained unapproved until finally they were filled with compromise appoint- ments, along with a fourth position, that of Secretary of Finance, left vacant when Secretary Cooper as- sumed duties as Secretary-Treasurer of the Student Body. A fitting tribute to the man who upheld the dignity of the office of student body president, Earl Fair- cloth was drafted and elected to a second term. He first took office while serving as vice president, when the incumbent president, Bob Ghiotto, resigned to accept a posi- tion at Tallahassee. At first claiming that his family and law school assignments were being neglected, a full-scale Draft Fairclothn movement swept the pop- ular president from Chiefland back into office. Earl served out his sec- ond term With the same confidence and efficiency that Won him the re- spect of his fellow students follow- ing his first term. ROBERT D. POOLE PERUSING A COMMITTEE REPORT Mac and Bob Poole at work Bob Poole, pride of Eau Gallie, campaigned hard for office, and after Winning the vice-presidency, campaigned hard for student government. This Business Administration major's duties were to co- ordinate the Executive Council committees, and to act as a voting member of that body. Fred McNulty, future insurance executive, was in charge of accounting and requisitions, and kept Executive Council minutes. After McNulty's mid- term graduation, Ben Cooper was appointed to fill his position. Cooper won Hall of Fame recognition for his work.
