Heaven Bless 'em and Heaven can . . . look atter 'em Like so many actors on a col legiote stage, some are loved, some vvould like to be loved, and some have auit kidding themselves and just do their daily dirty vvork. However, regardless ot vvhat the student body, individually or collectively, thinks ot them, tor the most part they assist in the operation ot the University in an etticient, ettective, Gnd productive tashion. National recognition ot more than a tevv sorts, has come to many ot them. Several are outstanding in and out ol their curricular tields throughout the state arid are acclaimed as leaders. A Some are big tish in small ponds, a tevv are big tish in big ponds. All have degrees tacked atter their names like so many New Deal Agencies, Chosen as college heads tor superior work in their tields, these men sutter no student derision in regard to their pro tessional ability, just a little as to their respective persons. Generally acclaimed by their students, these are the men the Alumni come back to see. As a group, l3VOQressive, up-to-date, and open-minded to change, Eloridafs Deans have helped to make Florida the Cradle ot liberal education and higher education she is today. D. R.
