CHARLES PINCKNEY SIMMONS, our fellow-student, there was lost to us a noble youth, who just at the gate of manhood's estate, had already won for himself a name, enviable in its integrity. His sunny smile and cheerful disposition, endeared him to the hearts of all with whom he was associated and his good deeds and worthy ambitions. best express the enthusiasm and determination with which he faced the daily tasks of life. In spirit he is gone, but in the loving hearts of his fellow-students, he lives, his memory enshrined and his name revered, as one of “Florida's finest sons .

3ln ittemoriam GEORGIA CATHERINE ROWAN Like a messenger of love from (lie far North Miss Georgia Catherine Rowan came and took her place in our midst in 1022. Although with us for only a few months she quickly endeared herself in the hearts of those unto whom she ministered in times of sickness and distress. Like a Florence Nightingale she presided over our infirmary, discharging her duties with thoroughness and dispatch, yet never neglecting the least kindness. Her gentleness. patience, and unlimited generosity impressed all who knew her. and make her absence more keenly fell now that she has left us. Her death was not unexpected, yet when her soul took it -Might on the morning of January 12. 1021. the suddenness of its passing plunged the entire ( ni- ersily into dec| cst sorrow.
