dedication dean lewis w furda the hard line is not an overgrown path as far as dean furda is concerned. direct, justifiable action is an aspect of his character which is readily employed when a student-centered prob- lem arises. concurrent with dean furdais role as an exacting administrator, however, is a man of understanding and concern. students are by no means the easiest on one's patience-nor are they always easy to understand. yet dean furda has managed to maintain the respect of the stu- dents even though his judgments sometimes con- tradict their desires. hence, we dedicate the 1967 key to dean lewis w. furda, dean of student affairs.
