L3 'Jw I mumamammmeu r. N ' But we are young, uninhibited, and still a little foolish. Our destination is not yet final, so we are content To ride with the weather. And we learn: Learn to live by the whims of the wind, Learn to do without the security of old familiar Landmarks, learn the secrets of new ports, learn to Stand straight and tall in the bow in the roughest Weather, learn to patch our self-confidence, Learn to drink the rain, learn to survive the storm And we learn to love life, ours and that of fellow Sailors. And we make a crew of hearty pirates, bound together by Chains no one can see. Somehow we finally sail into home port, to rest for Our next voyage.

We set sail for uncharted seas and found rough-going; Gales of unintelligible tongues, Rains of other realities, Thunder of trains rushing to ports far away, Lightning bolts of unfamiliar nightlife! Waves infinite and unceasing, one after another, Hitting our ship from all sides, rocking our stability And smashing holes in our self-confidence. With no safe place to rest our heads even if we had the time. We splash into a crowd of people who have set their courses By a different night sky. We often stand in awe of the works of nature and man, Letting our ship set its own course, Our ship - just a little boat on a constantly changing ocean, 'Vast and deep with a history many times older than that of Any ship. 1 Our boat is nothing but a grain of sand on a beach. 1 We had reason to be afraid.
