Forty two students attend fall leadership conference WM. nfs: L. ff? Students and faculty of the School of Public Services take time out from their discussion for a coke hreak. S The 1973 Central Missouri State University Fall Leadership Conference was held at Tan-Tar-A, Osage Beach, Missouri, September 23-25. Forty-two students attended the seventh an- nual conference. The students represented membership in departmental, honor, service, social, and governing organizations. The purpose of the conference was threefold, to facilitate communication between student leaders and professional university personnel, to provide an opportunity for an examination of organization function and dynamics, and to make available an experience for the development of leadership. Disneyland theme dominates parade Y A clear suhny day was the setting for the 1973 Homecoming activities., The sights and sounds of Walt Disney were featured with the Homecoming theme being i'Disney on Parade . House decorations, parade entries, and hand music all revolved around the popular Disney characters. The Central Missouri State Marching Mules led the parade accompanied by 45 high school bands from all over the state. First place winner of the Greek walking division was Delta Zetag campus division was the Association of Women Students. First place winner of the Greek float division was Sigma Kappa and Beta Sigma Psig campus division was a tie between Industrial Arts 81 Technology and the Agriculture Club. Sweepstakes winner in the house decorations was Sigma Phi Epsilon with their entry Davey Mule Kills the Bear . Winner of campus house decorations went to Yeater Hall. The afternoon proved successful with the Fighting Mules being victorious over the Southwest Missouri State Bears. The Homecoming festivities conclud- ed that evening with the annual Homecoming dance taking place in the University Union Ballroom. I8
