The lobby of Martin Theatre projects a warm atmosphere' odern facilities provide drama students a theatrical workshop The CMS theatre department opened the doors of the new Martin theatre for the first time on November 8, at 8:00 p.m. with William Shakespeareis i'Hamlet.,' A spacious carpeted lobby area provides the theatre audience with facilities before a play and during intermissions. The auditorium provides 441 comfortable seats, each row of seats raised one foot above the row directly in front allowing every patron an uninterrupted view of the stage. The entire floor surface is carpeted enhancing a feeling of warmth and elegance and also adding to the accoustical perfection of the house. At the rear of the auditorium is the lighting control area which houses a large console with 30 five-kilowatt dimmers. A make-up room with 240 incandescent lights and 24 individual make-up stations is available backstage. Adjacent to the make-up room are dressing spaces for men and women, complete with shower and lavatory facilities. 24 giifli lil ,A
