Freshmen display talents at annual Variety Revue This yearis Freshman Talent Show, held on November 9 and 10, introduced 22 different acts of bright young talent to the CMS campus. The variety show, held each year, offers the freshman student a chance to display his skill and creativity to his fellow students. Under the direction of Bill Podrazik, the talent event offered a variety of entertainment. While singing acts dominated the program, other talents presented mono- logues, dance routines, comedy and satire skits, as well as folk and rock groups. Vocal solos such as Al- fie and Dona-Donaj, a rock-and-roll rendition of Watermelon Manj, and ensemble singing groups per- forming '6Nothing Like a Mann and If I Weren't a Col- lege Girli' highlighted this yearis talent display. Paul Revere's Raiders perform for students Paul Revere and The Raidersj, third most popular recording group in the nation, blasted the CMS cam- pus from its pre-finals routine on February 13, in a two-hour concert held in Garrison Gymnasium. The Raiders, sponsored by the Student Government Asso- ciation, pleased the fanfilled audience with such mem- orable hits as Just Like Usf' I-lungryf, and Kicks, Vocalists Freddy Cannon and Brian Hyland also ap- peared, presenting their popular hits. In addition, two rock in roll groups, The Exilesv and The Girls shared the evenings spotlight. Approximately 3,000 attended The Raidersm program, a Dick Clark production, costing over S'7,500.
