Homecoming Queen Robin Readecker, Sigma Kappa. Sandy llloninger Della Zcta Suzanne Green Alpha Omicron Pi Homecoming projects a campus cartoon carnival The Homecoming parade, featuring over one hundred en- tries, including forty-five high school bands, was highlighted by floats exhibiting comic strip characters. Sigma Kappa, with Mickey Mouse as the theme, placed first in the sorori- ty float division. Sigma Tau Gamma captured the top honor in the off-campus division with their Pepe Le Peuwf' Lamb- da Chi Alpha won the fraternity house decoration contest with a gigantic Slyvester the Cat. The combined efforts of many campus organizations pro- duced an elaborate celebration. Homecoming, 1966, was the largest, in both participation and attendance, in the history of Central Missouri State College. Marryin7 Sam's fast hitching featured as main attraction Sadie Hawkins Day is a time when the student can demonstrate the spon taneity and individuality of his youth. The Union is filled with laughter singing. and impromptu stunts. The order of the day is cut-offs and sweat shirts as relaxation and spring fever sweep the campus. Instructors face almost empty classrooms. perhaps enjoying the nonconformity when cut ting is planned and expected.
