Pertle Springs entrances MS students and facult Pertle Springs accommodates CMS students as a popular recreation spot the year round. Located one mile south of the campus, Pertle is a 300-acre recreational and biological research area. Students make use of Pertle in field trips and experiments and pure enjoyment. ln the past year, a 9-hole golf course has been extended to an 18-hole course. Boats and canoes are for rent for fishing or just boating, and picnic areas are utilized throughout spring, summer, and fall by outdoor students who also might enjoy hiking at Pertle. The air-con- ditioned Walnut Room of Pertle Lodge cools summer out- doorsmen or the fireplace warms winter sportsmen. And when cold Weather assists, ice-skating areas are available. . . F i g in . Colle e Union is home of varied activities The College Union provides more than just a place to meet friends for a Cokeg it is the cen- ter of various community and college activities. Here parents have the opportunity to become acquainted with the college and its activities at an informative Parentis Day Tea. The ballroom is the scene of band jams and various other dances. The snack bar area attracts students throughout the day between classes. Down- stairs, in the Union, a game room provides a place for a quick game of ping-pong or a quiet game of bridge, and a bookstore and barber shop cater to student needs. Upstairs, students may bowl, relax in the lounge, or check out magazines or chess or checker sets at the in- formation desk. J Un the 20th annual larent's Dav.
