S.G.A., through its officers and representa- tives elected by the student body, meets students' governmental problems and spon- sors programs cmd special events. This year S.G.A. planned Homecoming, brought the Serendipity Singers to the CMS campus, spon- sored the Rhetor Ball, and S.G.A. President Jerry Landreth appointed the members of the President's Council. The President's Council is a means of obtain- ing solutions to student problems that ordin- arily do not reach the President of the college. The functions of the Council are directed to- wards achieving greater understanding be- tween organizations and the administration. Jerry Landreth brought honor to himself and the college when he was elected vice- president of the Association of Student Gov- We, the students of Central Missouri State College, in the interest of the student as an individual, of the Student Body as a group, of the College as a service institution within a democracy and of the College as a training institution for effective world citizenship, do hereby pledge ourselves to be governed in accordance with the Constitution and Statutes of the Student Government Association of Central Missouri State College. Harold Bratcher, Big Bratch, is carried to the stage as the Sig Pi's candidate for UMOC. Alpha Chi Epsilon depicts college extra-curricular activ- ities in their UMOC skit. . ' a ,AM Theta Chi's speak-easy for their UMOC candidate Alpha Kappa Lambda presents Mike Hughes in their combination of song and dance.
