First of all, it is the 100th class to graduate from the School of Medicine in this , the ninety-ninth year of its existence. The discrepancy is due to the extra class fitted during World War II. Secondly, and more importantly, its membership has exhibited in general, accord- ing to many of the faculty, that critical spirit which we believe is so important for those who must face rapidly changing conditions in this dynamic age.
