. J L ,F ii , .R 'L i- Don't look so gleeful Dick . . . we know how badly you wanted to be homecoming Queen, but Martha Tipton just has somethin gthat you don't. Behind Dick are the candidates for Homecoming Queen, Sue Smith, Barbara McBride, Barbara Pawlowski, Vita McFarland, Martha Tipton, Mary McFarland, and Carol Patteson. Spectators watching the Homecoming spectacle against Claremont Men's College experienced both moments of joy and disappointment during the fast mov- ing game which resulted in U. C. J ' ' ' it UCR's second annual Homecoming was carried on in grand style with the coronation of the Queen at the rally with a giant bonfire following. Songs and yells with a plaid accent echoed around the blaze as yell leaders and pam pon girls augmented the spirits for the game the following day. The week-end was studded with two dances, the informal one at Watkins House on Friday, and the spectacular semi-formal dance at the Mission Inn on Saturday evening. 1 r, 12 - .1 -: -' a ' '-Mez?
