Ed Thacher handled our finances as Supply Officer, while George lv1cDermoH' was Communicafions Officer and Lee Parker Sergeanf-af-Arms. Beginning wifh 'rwo informals and ending wifh a formal, The Ouarferdeck social program was declared fo be a success by all hands. Music af fhe fwo in- formals, held in The Women's Club Rooms af Sfephens Union, was supplied by records. The RO Liber+y Hounds , each sporfing fheir mosl' wolfish gleam, furned oui' in fine numbers for bofh of fhose hops designed fo fide us over our usual end-of-fhe- monfh insolvency. We all fell like cheering 'rhe cam- pus cop who fhrew fhe lighf swifches for us: so early in fhe game, foo! Cokes were on fhe menu and The concensus was fhaf 'rhe afmosphere was fine and mellow. The annual Ouarferdeck formal provided a fiffing finale for a slrenuous semesfer. Headed by Capfain B. L. Canaga and Bafialion Commander John Rolo- ers, 'fhe receiving line added fhal' required Touch of forrnalify, and fhe fine music and beaufiful surround- ings served fo makea good background for The happy RO's fo smoofh in on 'Their parfners.
