Recently a big brother big sister program was initiated for incoming freshmen. An Alfred H. Edwards, M.D. Memorial Scholarship fund was also established. Many winter graduates were treated to a farewell dinner hosted by our alumni. Finally, over $2300 was donated by individual alumni so that we could publish this yearbook. Most of us have never stopped to say thanks . So, for all of us, to all of our alumni, THANK YOU, ASSOCIATED ALUMNI OF UCI-CCM FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS ON OUR BEHALF! OUR ALUMNI ASSOCIATION was behind-the- scenes supporter of the graduating class of 1977 throughout medical school years. On the first day of basic sciences, back in June, 1973, we were greeted with a warm welcome from the Associated Alumni and received our first medical testbook — infamous Grant ' s Anatomy. Many of us were supported with loans and scholarships from our alumni. Each year the alumni awarded a plaque of recognition of service to student body office rs.
