if v. 7 1 Aggie Archers The purpose of this organization is to foster an interest in archery, to create a spirit of good sportsmanship and to maintain the highest standards of University life. This new club was very successful this year under President Bob Thompson; Vice President Jane Cox; Secre- tary Mary Truuba; and Treasurer Pete Pitkin. Miss Marya Welch is the club advisor. Activities consist of mail tournaments with other schools. The Aggie Archers beat such schools as Berkeley, Stanford, Redlands, and Sacramento J. C. The club also goes to open tournaments as well as having novelty shooting which includes shooting at balloons, cards, and objects other than a regular target. Jane Cox, outstanding archer here at Davis, came in second in the Women's National lnter-Collegiate Tourna- ment this year. FIRST ROW: George McNaney, Bob Woolf, Bob Babigian. SECOND ROW: Kathleen Dally, Pat West, Bob Thompson, Allan Fenton, Mary Trauba, Rocky Lamplugh, Diane Streiff, Lee Huang, Harriett Hadley, Jane Cox, Gerna Digitale.
