Ludwig ' s Fountain One of the new landmarks on campus that came with the of the new Student Union is a fountain . . . this fountain is not named after a Regent or a professor but after Ludwig von Schwarenberg, a Chesapeake Bay retriever who adopted the fountain as soon as the first water was put in and hasn ' t left since ... except for a short period this spring when ' he was to the home of his owners after spreading green paint through the halls of the new Educational and Psychology Building. As students pass by the fountain on the way to class or to the Bear ' s Lair for coffee, Ludwig entertains them by chasing sticks and splashing through the waters of his fountain.
