To Dr. Margaret Zeff, assistant university physi- cian, who personifies these seldom praised, hard- working people, we dedicate this seventy-seventh volume of the Blue Gold.

■ FOR years we have watched the cam- pus expand several times past that point where it can't get any larger, and it is still growing. As the campus grew, the University grew, and it is our hope that we, too, as students, ma- tured. We are taking much of the University with us, but we believe that we are leaving some worthy part of ourselves as compensation. To those being graduated from the Uni- versity of California this has been a memorable year, and it is our desire that this book will help to recall the many events which have taken place on this campus.
